September goals
1. Keep reading
The first goal I want to set for September is to keep reading. I have three books left in my Goodreads reading challenge for 2020. It would be amazing to exceed that.
Reading really helps calm my anxiety, so it would be nice to keep up the habit of reading. I've just started reading Happy Ever After by C.C Macdonald. I am only two chapters in, so have no real thoughts on it as yet.

2. Push myself out of my comfort zone
This week I have been trying to push myself out of my comfort zone. I run a pub, and sometimes my anxiety gets in the way of that.
This month I want to try to get out of my comfort zone and talking to people.

I will try again to engage with people on Twitter. I look at people who Tweet every day and engage with others, and I think I want to do that too!
4. Have two blog posts written in advance
I have felt a little bit like if I don't keep writing a post every week, then I will fall behind with my weekly schedule.I know that the best way to get ahead would be to have a few posts in the bag so that if I can't for some reason have a post written that week, I have a fallback.
5. Read three other blogs per week and leave a comment
The last goal for September is to read three blog posts. I set the target for two in my August goals. I want to read at least three blog posts and leave comments this month.
A review of my August goals:
1. Work on establishing routines
I wanted to establish an evening routine, which didn't happen. I have been working on sticking to my Reset "Sunday" routine to set myself up for the week.
I have a list of 13 simple tasks I follow to set myself up for the week, if you're interested in reading them.

2. Change my mindset from overwhelm to one of excitement
Some days have been better than others with this goal. I still think it is something I will continue to work on.
3. Have a blog post up every Tuesday
I managed to have a post up every Tuesday. The only thing I haven't addressed is to get any posts scheduled in advance, which would really help to continue this goal in the future.
4. Grow my Twitter account
No, I was feeling quite anxious last month and being back at work meant I didn't engage as I had planned to.
5. Read two other blogs per week and leave a comment
Yes, but I would love to spend more time doing this!
6. Read one book per month
Yay! I read Seeing Other People by Mike Gale. I like his writing style it's easy to just get lost in his books. This one was a little more far-fetched than I used to but still would recommend it if you are looking for an excellent book to read.
Well, that's it for my September goals. I hope you have a fabulous month!
What are your September goals?
Lots of love,
Helen x

Good luck with your goals this month. We have some similar goals I always want to start engaging more on twitter and write my posts in advance but dont ever seem to achieve it x
ReplyDeleteAww best of luck with your goals!! It's so much harder to actually get them done, isn't it! (I'm sorry it doesn't say who you are to go over to your post) x
DeleteNice to know you have these goals for this month! Wishing you'd achieve them greater than you planned for. Keep going!

Thank you so much Queenie!!
DeleteGood luck with your goals for the month. Is it hard to run a pub at this time? I hope you stay safe and healthy while managing to get out of your comfort zone and talk to more people. And congratulations on goals that you met from last month and those that you are continuously working on. I loved point two from there very much.
ReplyDeleteAww thank you so much!! It is very strange running a pub at the moment - it's busy when you expect it to be quiet and then vice versa! :)
